Go to this website for the VMWare driver package: VMware driver package. Shut down the guest machine and go to you're host machine.Ģ. Not to worry because you can be able to manually install them by downloading the VMWare 7.0 driver package.ġ. Windows beta versions are not supported on VMWare so you need to manually install the drivers. Hi there! It's been a long time since you posted this. If you have a issue with a supported version of an OS being used for legitimate purposes I'd be more then glad to help and maybe even go to great lengths as I have countless times for many others in the past however you no longer have a legal right to be using beta versions of Windows XP regardless of whether you can install it! Since you are violating the EULA for the version of Windows your using it is against the VMware Community Terms of Use to assist you in your illicit use of copyrighted intellectual property belonging to Microsoft that you have no legal rights to be using. I never said you cannot install beta version of Windows! I originally said on 4:28 PM, " Beta versions of Windows XP are not a supported Guest OS." and at that time much less two and a half years later it is still not supported and never will be supported again and not supported doesn't mean it can't be installed however with unsupported versions it is normal and expected that there be issues and not unusual when installing VMware Tools.
